Carcoola Primary School is located four kilometres north of Pinjarra. It is set in a quiet rural area away from the main roads. The main buildings are of a cluster design from the 1970's. Over the years these have been modified internally allowing for six teaching classrooms, which are all air conditioned, including a part time Kindergarten and a full time Pre-Primary. Supporting areas include a Music room, Computer lab with network linked computers, Library, Art room, Maths room and shortly a Technology and Enterprise workshop. A large undercover area, extensive play areas and the recent installation of new playground equipment and facilities ensure plenty of opportunities for safe and active play. There is a canteen run by parent volunteers operating five days per week.

The current Carcoola Primary School student population of approximately 125 children demonstrates a fairly consistent enrolment pattern over recent years of around 120.

Small class sizes and attractive teacher/student ratios, together with an excellent pastoral care policy and quality educational outcomes, have generated an enthusiastic and positive relationship between the school and the North Pinjarra community.

Carcoola Primary School is committed to inclusivity and meeting the needs of all its students. Under the school's SAER (Students at Educational Risk) Policy, teachers work in partnership with parents to develop and implement IEP's (Individual Education Plans) which address the needs of identified children. All students' well being is a priority and all staff ensure student needs, both educationally and emotionally are met. Pastoral care of students involves keeping parents well informed.

Carcoola Primary School has a strong commitment to the fostering of shared community values across the curriculum. All staff support and model a culture of mutual respect which results in a learning environment where all students feel safe, happy and able to 'have a go'. Parents are encouraged to take an active role in the education of their children. Teachers have developed a strong emphasis on pastoral care and the development of appropriate social skills, in particular the Friendly Schools and Families program. Whole-school policies and programs for Managing Student Behaviour (including bullying), a School Dress Code, and a Code of Conduct are well established.
