School Find introduces Birdwood Primary School in Birdwood, for all your education and learning needs.
The beautiful Birdwood Primary School is nestled in a rural setting, 52 kilometres from Adelaide, the Capital City of South Australia. The school supports families from within the town however most students are bussed from regional communities that support potato growing, dairying, wool growing, grape growing etc.
Birdwood is on the edge of the famous winegrowing district of the Barossa Valley. Increasing numbers of people commute to Adelaide for employment. Birdwood is the home of the National Motor Museum. The Primary School shares its campus with Birdwood High School.
Our logo is a drawing of Pflaum House and the Liquid Amber trees. The house was built in 1900 for H. Pflaum, a wealthy emigrant from Germany. H. Pflaum became the owner of the Birdwood Mill which was later to become the National Motor Museum. Pflaum House accommodates the administration offices and one large teaching space.
