Maclean High School is located on the South Arm of the Clarence River and serves the educational needs of the Lower Clarence area. The school is a district, comprehensive, co-educational facility that has shared its present site with Maclean TAFE College since 1992. The grounds including the school's farm occupy 10 hectares of the river flood plain. As a result of recent capital works the school has excellent facilities including a Joint School TAFE library. The ethos of the school which openly celebrates our diversity of backgrounds encourages and provides a variety of learning experiences. The development of each individual is emphasised within the context of academic, cultural, sporting and citizenship achievements.
