Bombala High School is a small rural school, located in the Snowy Mountains approximately one hour's drive, both south-east from Cooma and inland from the far south coast of New South Wales. It serves a community based on the farming and timber industries. The school's drawing area encompasses two Primary in Bombala, as well as the small local communities of Ando, Bibbenluke, Delegate and north-eastern Victoria. Most students travel to school by bus, some travelling up to three hours per day. The school is well regarded by the local community and although small, tries to maintain a wide range of subject choices to appeal to its broad range of students. Bombala High School aims to provide a purposeful, stimulating learning and working environment that, through co-operative effort, fulfils the needs of the students, staff, parents and the community. Student welfare is the focus of the school.
