Established in 1991, The Department of Physiotherapy at The University of Melbourne makes distinctive contributions to the physiotherapy profession and society in research, learning & teaching and knowledge transfer.
Excellence in learning and teaching has been recognized for both our undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Our Bachelor of Physiotherapy program is consistently ranked in the top 10% of Australian University courses and is frequently rated as the top physiotherapy course by the Graduate Careers Council of Australia. Our graduates are trained to be workforce ready and many return to enroll in our PhD, clinical doctorate and masters by coursework physiotherapy programs. The final intake for the Bachelor of Physiotherapy Program will be in 2009, after which a transition will be made to our new Graduate Entry Physiotherapy Program, commencing in 2011.
Students in Physiotherapy can expect dynamic and interactive learning through the structure of our academic programs that are informed by current best clinical practice.
