St Carthage’s Parish School, a Catholic systemic school of the Lismore Diocese, was established in 1886 by the Presentation Sisters (from Ireland) to cater for the needs of the Catholic children of Lismore.

As a Catholic School, we believe we have four dimensions to our being- Spiritual, Emotional, Intellectual and Physical. In partnership with the home, the school initiates teaching and learning activities in the Catholic tradition to support children’s development in these four areas.

The teachings of Jesus Christ call us to live in relationship with others based on the timeless principles and values of honesty, trustworthiness, tolerance, inclusion, respect, responsibility and compassion. These principles and values underpin the ethos of our school and are given life through the teachings of Christ.
